Energy healing massage

This option is great for people with muscle tension and stress, who are looking for an energy healing as well. Many times (especially as the spiritually awakened) we are looking for a deeper experience during a massage. I am fully present with you as I work to relieve tension and pain in the body, while simultaneously clearing your energetic field.

Our muscles (especially the fascia) store memories. As I massage, the spirit medicine flows and I am able to find points within the body that are holding painful memories and release them along with physical tension. Continued sessions are also great for re-teaching your nervous system how to relax and move away from constant tension and flight or flight. The session is finished with about 10-15 mins of concentrated energy healing.

Circulatory (Swedish)

Relieve the stress of a busy day with this technique that involves long broad strokes, with a meeting in friction, to improve circulation and relax the Nervous System from stress and fatigue.

Pre-Natal

This massage specially designed to relieve the stress and discomfort that often accompanied pregnancy. A stress free pregnancy can meet at healthier and stress-free baby.

Reflexology

Based on the theory that the entire body is mapped out with associated body parts and organs on the feet and hands. This type of massage primarily as a thumbing technique, working the soles of the feet to release blockages in specific areas and to restore a healthy balance in the body. On each foot alone there are over 7,000 nerve endings (reflexes) that correspond to every organ and system in the body. It can help relieve pain and discomfort from muscle pains to digestion issues, headaches, colds and even PMS symptoms.

Lomi Lomi

In the “Spirit of Aloha”, this massage brings refreshing and relaxing result to your health and well-being. The emphasis is on soothing the body and moving energy that is no longer serving us. It is believed that every part of the body holds onto an ancestral memory, whether from our parents, grandparents, or even our own stages of life. Mixing rhythmic strokes with Passive Joint Movement and gentle energy releases, the massage is like a really big dance that gently rocks you into a blissful release of tension. Pressure can go from very light (for a child) or more firm for stubborn muscles and energy.

Hot Stone Massage

Hot stone therapy is a powerful massage technique that involves heated stones to enhance circulation and relieve stress and tension from the body. Other benefits include increased joint flexibility, a decrease in muscle spasms, better sleep, and grounding especially with the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

Precautions: This modality should be avoided with any recent injuries, flus, or breaks in the skin until they have healed. Also contraindicated for pregnancy, diabetes, heart disease and high blood pressure. Lots of water consumption must follow this massage!

Fire Cupping

A technique used in traditional Chinese medicine for certain health conditions. It is a safe, non-invasive technique by using herbal oil and the energy of fire to suction glass cups onto the skin, moving stagnant energy and blood. It is used to treat muscle and joint pain spasms and is great for stimulating blood circulation and building new Qi (life force) and blood in the body. Cupping disperses and moves Qi by exerting section and pressure. It is used when Qi is blocked at certain points, or when Qi needs to be drawn to the surface of the body from deep within. Sliding cupping may be used to break up muscular tension.

Precautions: Cupping may leave bruise like marks on the skin for 24 hours to up to a couple of weeks. Contraindicated for pregnancy, severe diabetes, severe edema, and allergic dermatitis. After session, no drugs, alcohol, sex, fasting, hard labor including working out for the next 24 hours. Let your body rebuild!

Gua Sha

Gua means to scrape or rub. Sha is a reddish elevated skin like rash that is brought up to the surface intentionally to move energy and stagnant blood from the body. Gua Sha begins with layering on herbal oil that aids in the extraction of toxic waste, then the skin is scraped in the area of discomfort or at times and the entire body using a specific tool depending on whether the treatment is for physical or emotional healing. Red spots are an indication of toxins are being released. Moxibustion

Form of heat therapy in which dried plant material called moxa are burned on or very near the surface of the skin. The intention is to warm and invigorate the flow of QI in the body and to spell certain pathogen influences. Moxa used is made from the dried leafy material of Chinese mugwort and has a strong scent and calming aroma. You may feel a sudden flooding of warmth back quickly radiance along a civic pathway or energy channel. It is used for pain due to injury or at the rightists, digestive problems and irregular illumination, protection against cold and flu strains, and overall strengthening of your bodies systems.

Precautions: On the lumbar and abdomen regions during pregnancy or during extreme fatigue

Tui Na

Many of the techniques used in this massage resemble that of a western massage like lighting, needing, rubbing, vibration, tapping, friction, pulling, rolling, pressing and shaking. The muscles and tendons are massaged with the help of hands and acupressure techniques applied to directly affect The flow of Qi at different acupressure points of the body, facilitating the healing process. It removes blockages and keeps the energy moving through the meridians as well as the muscles. For a full Tui Na massage you are fully clothed wearing loose fitting garments. The best part of this modality is that it relaxes as well as energizes you. The main benefit of this massage is that it focuses on specific areas like the back, neck, shoulders, wrists, hips, and even the jaw.
